During this week's annual meetings it was announced that guest rooms at Disney's Old Key West Resort were scheduled for a major refurbishment beginning in 2010. The project involves substantial updates to the units including the addition of a twin sleeper chair to the larger villas.
The main pool at Disney's Old Key West Resort will be out of commission for the entire month of February 2010.
One pool refurbishment is already under way at Disney's Old Key West Resort with another scheduled to follow soon behind.
According to Disney's refurbishment schedule, the quiet pool on Miller's Road is currently closed and scheduled to re-open June 26, 2009. Shortly therafter, the South Point quiet pool will be closed from August 3 - 21, 2009. During both maintenance windows all other resort pools will remain open for guest use.
Reminder that these dates are estimates only and are subject to change.
Throughout May 2009 Disney will be refurbishing two of the leisure pools (aka quiet pools) at Disney's Old Key West Resort. Additionally one of the resort playgrounds will receive new equipment.
Members electing not to extend their membership at Disney's Old Key West recently received a little present from Disney Vacation Club--a lithograph of their home resort. The lithograph is 17 inches by 11 inches.
