In July 2025 Disney unveiled new sales incentives for several Disney Vacation Club resorts. Those new incentives seem to have caught buyers’ attention, resulting in an increase in sales in August 2025.
In August 2025, Disney sold 169,085 Disney Vacation Club points for the 12 DVC timeshare resorts located at World Disney World. This was the most number of points sold since 179,127 points were recorded in March 2025. For the year, direct sales are averaging 157,716 a month, an 11.7% increase over the monthly average for 2024.
In mid- July, Disney improved the sales incentives for current owners adding points at Disney’s Riviera Resort, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas. Buyers responded to these incentives, resulting in all three resorts recording marked improvements in their sales. In August, Riviera saw a 39.4% increase over what it had averaged the previous three months. The Cabins had its best month ever, exceeding the 12,326 points it sold in March 2024. Animal Kingdom Villas sold 6,876 points in August, its best month since 11,465 points were sold in October 2024.
Two 1,000-point deeds were sold in August: One for Riviera and one for The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. The Grand Floridian also sold a 700-point deed, while the largest single deed sold for Polynesian was a 610-point deed.
Disney’s Riviera Resort — In August 2025, 59,833 points were sold for Riviera, the most since March 2025 (60,014 points). Disney has sold 5,393,976 Riviera points, about 81.7% of the resort’s 6,739,966 total points.
One Fixed Week deed was sold in August for the resort, bringing the number of such deeds sold for the resort to 144. The new Fixed Week deed was for a Resort View Studio for Week #49.
Only 20 of Riviera’s 341 vacation homes have not been declared for the DVC inventory. The DVC inventory now accounts for 5,817,509 points, or 94.4% of the Riviera’s 6,7 million total points. In all likelihood this declaration was the penultimate declaration before it is fully declared for the DVC condominium association.
Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort — In August 2025, 13,890 points were sold for the Cabins, the most it has sold in it’s short 19-month history. It is only the third time Cabin sales exceeded the 10,000-point mark (March 2024, 12,326 points; January 2025, 10,140 points).
Disney has now sold 127,570 points for the Cabins, which is about 4.6% of the resort’s estimated 2,780,943 total points. It is now averaging 6,714 points a month in sales.
One Fixed Week deed was sold in August. The new Fixed Week deed was for Week #50. Disney has sold 22 Fixed Week deeds for the resort.
Disney has declared 63 cabins for the timeshare inventory. DVC members will be able to book using points up to 63 cabins on any given Use Day. There are still another 300 cabins that have not yet been declared. Disney will be able to use these 300 cabins for cash rentals or any other purpose it desires.
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows — In August 2025, 78,709 points were sold for Polynesian, the fifth consecutive month that sales have been in the 70,000-point range.
Disney has sold 883,316 points (24.5%) of the 3,608,934 points allotted to the residential units at Polynesian’s Island Tower.
Island Tower has averaged 80,376 points a month since the first deeds were recorded in October 2024. At that pace, it will take about 33 months, or until the Summer of 2028, before all its points would be sold.
In August, no Fixed Week deed were sold for accommodations at Island Tower. Disney has sold 37 Fixed Week deeds for the Island Tower.
On August 4, 2025, Disney declared 12 more vacation homes for the timeshare inventory. This latest declaration increases the number of vacation homes that DVC members can book using points from 72 to 84. There are still 138 vacation homes at Island Tower that have not yet been declared and are still under the control of Disney. The declared inventory accounts for 1,403,596 points, which is 38.9% of the Island Tower’s 3,608,934 estimated total points.
The Orange County, California, Clerk Recorder is the source for public information about sales for the Disney Vacation Club resorts located at the Disneyland Resort. Beginning in January 2025, its public website no longer displays the deed document tax amount for deeds recorded with the county. Since the tax amount was the only way to infer the number of DVC points for each deed, it is no longer possible to estimate the number of points sold for The Villas at Disneyland Hotel or The Villas at Grand Californian Hotel timeshare. Therefore, sales data for these resorts will no longer be included in the monthly sales report.
The sales data includes all 12 DVC resorts at Walt Disney World, as well as Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. Point sales data is not available for The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel or The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. The data is compiled from deeds filed by Disney Vacation Development and recorded with the Orange County (FL) Comptroller, the Indian River County (FL) Clerk of Court, and the Beaufort County (SC) Register of Deeds. Thanks to Chris for assisting in the compilation of the sales data.
