Joey Chou, who created artwork showcased throughout the renovated rooms in Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort, is featured in the latest installment of 'Life at Disney.'
Guests seem to approve of the new artwork featured in the refurbished villas at Bay Lake Tower. Artist Joey Chou began his Disney career by lillustrating the 2011 picture book based upon "it's a small world." His vibrant images draw inspiration from the work of Mary Blair, as well as animated classics like 'Sleeping Beauty' and '101 Dalmations.'
For the Bay Lake Tower refurb, Chou created a series of paintings which evoke the lands of the Magic Kingdom including Adventureland (above), Fantasyland (below), Tomorrowland, Frontierland and more. The artiwork is framed and mounted on villa walls, as well as the new pull-down sofa beds in all Disney Vacation Club villas.
Chou also created the monorail-themed mural in the main lobby of Disney's Contemporary Resort, along with the matching pillar wrap featuing the iconic five-legged goat.

The 13-month villa refurbishment at Bay Lake Tower is scheduled to conclude in September 2025.
