Disney Vacation Club is reportedly adding more model units to The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
According to a report at LaughingPlace.com, Disney is in the process of erecting additional models of the Fort Wilderness cabins. Photos on the site show what appear to be at least 2 new cabins at the Settlement Outpost adjacent to Pioneer Hall.
Disney Vacation Club already has two cabins in this area, though they are set back from Trail's End Restaurant and the home to Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. One of the two existing cabins is used as a walk-through model while the other typically serves as office space for Disney Vacation Club sales staff.
Point sales for the Cabins has been modest, with the resort exceeding 10,000 points in a month only twice over the past year. Over a similar period, locations like Disney's Riviera Resort and Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows averaged 70,000 - 80,000 points per month.
Work to replace more than 300 cabins at Fort Wilderness was originally scheduled to wrap-up by the end of April 2025.
Construction progress is well under way for Disney Lakeshore Lodge. The wilderness-themed DVC property is located on the shores of Bay Lake, between Fort Wilderness and Disney's Wilderness Lodge.
