New options have been added to the members-only website to allow owners to choose their prefered communication method for the quarterly condominium association meetings.
In 2024, a new Florida law went into effect requiring condominium associations to increase their meeting frequency from once-per-year to quarterly. Most Disney Vacation Club resorts fall under this guideline, prompting DVC to host the first in a series of quarterly meeting back in September. Additional meetings followed in December 2024 and March 2025. Notices were posted to the member website several weeks in advance with online registration required.
Recently, DVC has updated the members-only website to allow owners to select their preferred notification method for future meetings. Owners can now choose to receive meeting notices via either U.S. Mail or email delivery. The option can be found by logging onto the members website and going to "My DVC" then "Condo Association News." A priominent link in the center of the page reads: "Condominium Association notices are also available electronically based on the Home Resort(s) at which you own. Want to receive electronic communications for future Condominium Association Meetings?"
Clicking on that link brings up two separate notification options. Preferences can be separately configured for Annual Dues Statements & Privacy Notice as well as Contact Preferences for Condominium Association Notices. In both cases, options are available to receive either a paper mailing or electronic notification.
Dates have not yet been published on the site for meetings for the 2nd quarter of 2025. During the December '24 meeting, DVC executives stated that the quarterly meetings would not likely adhere to a rigid schedule. Instead they would be subject to availability of meeting facilities and participating staff members.
Disney Vacation Club owners are welcome to attend meetings for any resorts a which they own points. RSVP is required. There is no cost to attend.
