New details are beginning to appear on the waterside bungalows at Disney Lakeshore Lodge.
We are nearing the 1-year mark on construction at Disney Lakeshore Lodge. The project was officially revived in November 2024 with full-scale construction resuming by December.

The resort will feature a mixture of hotel rooms and Disney Vacation Club villas. Viewed from out in the middle of Bay Lake, the DVC villas are situated on the right side of the resort while hotel rooms are on the left closest to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

The resort will also feature a series of A-frame cabin structures positioned along the shoreline. These cabins or bungalows appear to be 2-stories tall, perhaps with a bedroom loft on the upper floor looking out toward the lake.

Since our last update in October, crews have begun adding new details to these cabin-like structures. Just weeks ago they were little more than shiny metal framework.

Some of the vegetation lininng the shore has been preserved, and additional touches will undoubtedly be added as the project progresses. Above, several of the cabins blend in among the nearby trees.

Disney recently revealed plans to expand the Meadow Swimmin' Pool at Fort Wilderness to include a second pool, pickleball courts and more. Disney Lakeshore Lodge will be the eighteenth Disney Vacation Club property. It is expected to open sometime in 2027.
