Refreshed lounge space off the resort's main lobby will bring a new afternoon tea experience in the new year.
Garden View Lounge at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will reopen sometime in early 2026. Formerly known as Garden View Tea Room, the space will bring a return to the afternoon tea event at Walt Disney World's flagship resort.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the space offered a traditional British tea service. For prices that started around $35 per person, guests enjoyed a selection of finger sandwiches, scones and a dessert, along with a choice of tea. Optional add-ons would bring additional food selections, alcoholic beverages and more.
The space includes floor-to-ceiling windows which overlook the rear of the resort. Previous information suggests Disney may have plans for broader use of the space.
Renovations to Garden View Lounge are part of the greater lobby refresh. Disney announced that the new lobby bar, The Perch, is set to debut on November 10, 2025. The menu is now available, featuring signature cocktails like Floridian 75 (Fords Gin, Florida Citrus Cordial, and Lemon topped with Taittinger ‘La Francaise’ Brut Champagne) and Sunshine State Rum Sazerac (Siesta Key Coffee Rum, Demerara, Absinthe Rinse, Peychaud’s Bitters, and Lemon Essence).
Other recent changes include new lobby carpet, new furniture and a refreshed front desk.
