The six month refurbishment project at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts is nearing an end.
Website WDWMagic.com reports that the pools of Stormalong Bay have been refilled and waterfalls are now running. The entire pool complex has been closed since January 2025 for a long-scheduled refurbishment which was due to take a full six months to complete.
The pools have been completely drained for months as crews worked to repair or replace the concrete foundations.
Stormalong Bay Refurbishment March 2025
According to the report from WDWMagic "...construction walls are starting to come down throughout the area. The cabanas are being rebuilt, and loungers have been staged nearby, ready to be positioned once the area is cleared."
The project was first announced way back in August 2023. It was originally scheduled to run from January to May 2025, but the completion estimate was later stretched to run through June. No specific reopening date has been published.
