Following a closure of more than 5 months, most features of the Stormalong Bay pool complex have reopened for guest use.
The popular feature pool at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts reopened on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Most of the pool areas and amenities--including Hurricane Hannah's--have reopened. However the Shipwreck slide remains closed at this time.
The pool closure was announced as far back as August 2023. Refurbishment work began in January 2025 and was stated to last until June. Extensive work was performed with all of the pools being resurfaced and new concrete poured along much of the deck. The pool's cabanas have also been updated.
The Beach Club Villas' Dunes Cove quiet pool was renovated back in late 2023. Interiors of the villa guest rooms and the resort's lobby were also updated throughout 2023. The resort's Porte Cochere is currently closed off for updates, a project which is expected to run through September 2025.
